Zero two Supplementary Oxygen
A recent survey of over 40 airlines concluded that there is significant demand for in-flight supplementary oxygen everywhere in the world. The provision of an oxygen delivery service is often a vague and contentious issue being something that airlines are obliged to provide but not seen as a high priority when it comes down to customer care.
The issues that are commonly confronted are:
· The service is now becoming increasingly expensive for airline and passenger alike
· The hassle normally associated with providing in-flight supplementary oxygen
· Increasing demand due to the increased ageing profile of passengers coupled with longer duration non-stop flights
· The risk of loss of passenger revenue if oxygen is not available
· Cost effectiveness and a uniform charging policy
· The overall logistics and modus operandi
