Compact Portable Analgesic Unit - Peacemaker
Find out about the technical specifications of this product.
The inability to reduce pain can prolong and even hinder the recovery of a patient and can make some emergencies difficult to work in.
Peacemaker, a compact, portable analgesic unit, provides an immediate solution to this problem without affecting the vital signs or symptoms of the patient and provides an oxygen enriched atmosphere for the patient to breathe.
The portable analgesic unit supplies the pain relieving gas 'Entonox' through a lightweight demand valve. Entonox must be self-administered and the patient is encouraged to hold the demand valves and slowly inhale the gas.
The high performance demand valve, designed to conform to and exceed BS4272 Part 2, allows the patient to receive the gas with minimum effort. The effect of entonox lapses immediately with cessation.
Entonox may start to separate at an ambient temperature of -7 deg C although this is undetectable. Peacemaker includes a self contained, reusable heating pack which, if activated at an ambient temperature of +5 deg C will keep the temperature around the cylinder above -7 deg C for up to two hours thus preventing separation of the gas.
The standard Peacemaker is supplied, without cylinder, in a neatly designed carrying case bag that also contains a selection of masks and a mouthpiece together with a full operating instruction manual. Peacemaker can also be supplied in a back-mounted carrying case containing all the standard equipment. This arrangement has proved very successful for some emergency rescue organisations.
