Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What makes Aeromedic's Medical and First Aid Kits the best value choice for my fleet?
A. Aeromedic has over 15 years experience in meeting customer needs in the commercial aviation market. With all kits customisable and backed by an industry leading replenishment/refurbishment program Aeromedic can support any airline 's whole life requirement.
Q. Are Aeromedic's kits fully compliant with the appropriate airworthiness regulations?
A. Yes. Aeromedic kits meet or exceed the requirements of JAR-OPS 1.745, JAR-OPS 1.755, FAR part 121.803 and FAR part 121.1 Appendix A. In addition, Aeromedic actively participates in the rulemaking process through membership of the AsMA (Aerospace Medical Association).
Q. Why don't I get a JAA-1 with my shipments of Aeromedic First Aid or medical kits?
A. The JARs (JAR-OPS 1.630 (c) (5) and (c) (6)) state that First Aid and medical kits do not require equipment approval. Therefore a JAA-1 is not appropriate and one would not be valid. Aeromedic First Aid and medical kits are therefore released with a certificate of conformity to ensure full traceability.
Q. If I decide to re-equip my fleet with Aeromedic kits what happens to my existing inventory?
A. A buy-back option is offered to minimise the impact of switching to Aeromedic kits.
Q. How does the Aeromedic replenishment/refurbishment program work?
A. Depending upon the program selected Aeromedic collects used kits and delivers replenished/refurbished kits or the airline arranges transportation to and from the Aeromedic or other locally based facility. In each case Aeromedic manages a 'float' of kits to ensure shortages are eliminated.
Q. How much does the program cost?
A. With a number of options ranging from flat rate through individually costed to by-the-hour schemes Aeromedic has a package to suit any airline procurement style.
Q. How do I know the medications and supplies in an Aeromedic kit are always in date?
A. The replenishment/refurbishment program ensure full traceability of all kits and contents. Aeromedic manages shelf-life expiry and ensures all kits are equipped with up to date supplies. There is also an external nameplate which shows the date of the item with lowest expiry date in the kit. |
